Fellowships of the Heart Couples Retreat - REGISTRATION CLOSED

REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS EVENT

Ok Couples,

You are invited to a life changing adventure!

We just couldn't offer this in a church setting. Or in the basement of a hotel. No, in order for a couple to get their hearts back, they've got to take a journey. One that involves risk, beauty, adventure and a point of no return.

The Fellowships of the Heart retreat is a four-day quest into the recovery of your true heart as outlined in John & Stasi Eldredge's books, Wild at Heart & Captivating.

Through teaching sessions, films, guided periods of reflection and journaling, question and answer, and small group discussion, this will be something far more than a retreat—its an expedition of the heart. You will never be the same.

The adventure will begin on the evening of Thursday, July 21st at 6 p.m.. We'll be based at Westwood Retreat Center in Kerrville, Texas.

Our prayer is that this weekend you will meet with God and he will change your life.

We are limited to 10 couples.

What to do in preparation:
Men - Read Wild at Heart
Women - Read Captivating

Registration includes Food, Lodging and all activities.

Keep an eye on www.fellowshipsoftheheart.com for updates and to ask questions.

Please email or call me if you have any questions.

Details for the weekend - NOV 04 WAH

THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED!!!!!
Hey Guys,
I hope this message finds you doing well.  You are about to experience a life changing weekend, so it should not surprise you to know that the Enemy fears it and will oppose it in any way he can.  Heads up. Be prepared for hassles, set-backs, opposition and spiritual attack. Don't be suprised if you face opposition this week.  Our enemy does not want this weekend retreat to happen and will try anything to stop you from coming.  I've been praying for each one of you and know that God is going to use this weekend in an awesome way to help each of us get our hearts back. Be praying for each other!
Here are some of the details you'll need for this weekend. Please email or call me if you have any questions.
TIMES:
You can arrive on Thursday any time between 5pm and 7pm. We'll have dinner at 7p.m.  Please try to be with us by 7 on Thursday as the whole weekend really builds on each session.  If you miss Thursday evening you will have missed the foundation of the weekend.  Let me know if you are going to be late and we'll save a plate of food for you.  We'll start the first session around 8 p.m.
We'll finish on Sunday with Lunch at around 1 p.m. You can leave any time after that.
DIRECTIONS:
Here are driving directions from Austin.
1. Go south on I-35 S. (62.07 miles)
2. Take the TX-1604-LOOP W/ANDERSON LOOP exit- EXIT 172. (0.71 miles)
3. Merge onto TX-1604 LOOP W. (16.87 miles)
4. Merge onto I-10 W/US-87 N toward EL PASO. (31.80 miles)

The address is 3900 Bandera Highway #173.  They can be reached by phone at (830) 634-3082.
CLOTHING:
The weather forecast is for highs in the 50's and low's in the 30's.  This is Texas and it's 75 today so who knows what it'll actually be.  I'd bring something warm and also shorts and t-shirts.
The confirmed activities are:
Paintball - Bring Clothes that can get paint on them.  I suggest jeans and a long sleave shirt of some kind.  If you've got camo, I'd suggest bringing it.
Kayaking - Wet Suits will be provided if needed.  Bring a swim suit.
Hiking - comfortable outdoor clothes and shoes/boots.
Basketball and other outdoor sports - You know what to wear for this.
Climbing is not yet confirmed ( I assume clothing for hiking will work)
We'll probably spend a lot of time outside in the evenings, so bring warm clothes just in case the weather forecast is correct.
WHAT TO BRING:
Bible
Wild at Heart (The book)
Your favourite movie (we're going to have a big screen set up)
Camera
Shower supplies
Towel
We will not be camping out as a planned activity.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFO:
We'll be asking everyone to turn off their cell phones for the duration of the weekend.  This is to help us "unplug from the matrix".  I will check my messages each evening so please give your family my cell phone number as an emergency contact number.  The number is (512) 773-5835. They can also call the retreat center at (830) 634-3082.
I'm looking forward to seeing each of you on Thursday.  If you want to car pool from Austin I'll be leaving around 3:30 p.m. so that I have time to get stuff set up in Kerrville.  Otherwise you can arrange rides among yourselves.
Thanks,
Jonathan Dale

Wild @ Heart Extreme - November '04

THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED!!!!!

Ok Guys,

You are invited to a life changing adventure!

We just couldn't offer this in a church setting. Or in the basement of a hotel. No, in order for a man to get his heart back, he's got to take a journey. One that involves risk, and danger, and a point of no return.

The Wild at Heart retreat is a four-day quest into the recovery of your masculine soul as outlined in John Eldredge's book, Wild at Heart.

Through DVD teaching sessions, films, guided periods of reflection and journaling, question and answer, and small group discussion, this will be something far more than a retreat—its an expedition of the heart. You will never be the same. Basically we'll be doing guy stuff for several days (paintball, hiking, camping, maybe even some climbing and kayaking), and in between the activities we'll be going through the Wild At Heart Field Manual using the DVD series featuring John Eldredge and the Ransomed Heart Team.

The adventure will begin on the evening of Thursday, November 11th at around 6-7 p.m.. We'll be based at Westwood Retreat Center in Kerrville, Texas.

My prayer is that this weekend you will meet with God and he will change your life.

If you'd like to come, please accept this invitation. You have to come to the whole time, it won't work if you're only at parts of it.
